I know that they made a few, and have some interest in buying one when I have the money
later this summer.

As I once owned a medium framed Rossi .357 revolver that I carried as a backup
gun for a while.

The Kit Gun is about that size but in the superior (to me) Ruger platform.

Yes, I had a blued medium frame Rossi .357 quite a few years ago that somehow got away from me.

Perfect size for a light little .357 revolver with a longer sight radius than a snubby.

I have a Ruger sp101 22 that I guess could be a kit gun. Also have Smith J frames in several calibers that fit that catagory, but the gun that pops up in my head when I think kit gun, is Ruger Bearcat. It just seems to fit.
I have covered a lot of miles in my life with a Bearcat along for the ride. First brand new handgun I had, was a Bearcat. I shoot thousands of 22s in double action mode, but for relaxed plinking fun, a Bearcat works. Blue, stainless, or old.
To keep from looking to lopsided, I pretty much wore out one of my Mark 11s.
