Went to the range and shot just a few rounds to function check the P95. Took it home and was cleaning it and saw this:

It's a small divot in the barrel lug. Doesn't appear to be sharp, like a gouge.

Can't figure out what or why it is - anyone have any experience with something like this? Should I be concerned? Rephrase - should I be MORE concerned?

Contact Ruger and express your concerns. In the mean time to what ever shop and ask them if they can take one apart for you. If you notice the same defect it may be something they do. Still contact Ruger to see if a few hundred went out with this defect or if its normal.

It's not terribly deep but the disturbing thing is that's the first time I've seen it, and I've had the gun apart several times. I suppose I could have missed it but I don't think that's likely.

I really does look like a bubble, that's an accurate description. The good thing - if there is one - is that it would appear to me (a very untrained eye in this matter) in a non-loadbearing area. I'd prefer Ruger replace it, straight up though. We'll see what they say.

Talked to Ruger a few minutes ago. They returned my call actually. Shipping a new recoil spring/ rod assembly. Asked to have the old one back so they could examine it for defects.

Really good service. Good folks.

Got just the camblock in the mail today. No way to easily remove the springs and replace just the block. Ruger rep apologized - said they should have sent the entire assembly including springs. Offered to help describe how to get the retainer off and use the part in hand but we agreed the reassembly would be unreliable. Said he'd get a complete ass'bly out ASAP.

Got an email from UPS with the tracking number for a NextDay air package. Hasn't been picked up by UPS but I'm assuming it's the block/spring assembly from Ruger.

Hopefully she'll be 100% tomorrow. Really appreciate the response from Ruger.
