I am in luv with my new SA 1911RO
You know , the one I made all the grips for
    ,
I thought about CCW it, but nah, Im gonna baby it, custom made case for it, shootit often and pamper it. Im thinking this thing is gonna be making babies, afterall it is a stud.

Which leaves me with thinking a 1911 platform for CCW.

After MANY hours online, I have narrowed it down to these two.
Both are about the same cost. The Sig has match barrel, match sear/trigger,the Colt does not. Both weigh about the same, 25 ounces.Sig has night sights.

    yeah,yeah, I cant buy both.;):)

so help me decide, with your experience, and vast knowledge.

I looked at that SA EMP,

If it was in .45acp, it would probably at the top of my list.

btw, its a reloading thing, Im not ready to expand to another caliber .

    Well,

Sorry I didnt get back sooner,

After all my research, I had to go with the Sig 1911U45TSS.

Its on its way , stuck in Memphis at Fedex , Im suppose to have it tomorrow.

I cant find anything bad about this gun, I sure hope I like it.

Im excited , but waiting is bad.

We got a ice storm headed at us Thurs night and Friday.

The ice storm has started, but I beat it.

Picked it up earlier today disassembled ,cleaned , lubed, and ready to go.

Ordered it last Friday Nov 29th
and so far, worth the wait.
This thing just ooozes with quality. Nice night sights that do work, I tried them.:)
Fit, finish, action, feel, weight, balance, cant find anything to complain about so far,
we'll see when I shoot it.

    Freakin' SWEET!

I meant to chime in with my Sig bias. A Nightmare Carry is next up on the pistol side for me (hate that name). But I'm really liking the stainless on that thing.

    Thanks,

I like that Nightmare also, I almost went with the C3.

I have always liked big family , so who knows what may happen.
    Im sold on Sig quality.

We are weather socked in here, but I wore it around the house yesterday for about 3-4 hrs, and I am gonna love carrying it, if it proves reliable, and shoots good.
Im letting it stretch my favorite holster now , as it seems a hair thicker than the SA.

Oh yeah the night sights it came with are really bright in the dark, I like that.

Looks very nice! It also looks like an excellent CCW.

What holster will you be using?

Im not sure just yet, But I am stretching a Bianchi Minimalist , that I like.
I have used the minimalist for almost all my CCW weapons.

I am gonna get a Remora , and see if that is something I may like also.
