What should be in a good cleaning kit for a 9mm? Is it ok to use 3in1 or WD50 to clean and lube?

I like Remington's Remoil. In fact, I use it around the house and car on hinges, and any moving parts.

    Thanks

My shooting buddy told me to use Remington oil. Not to use 3 n 1 or wd40.

I am sure I have used a couple of gallons of 3 in 1 oil so far in my lifetime. It's good oil and works well.

I have used WD40 to clean with, as well as Marvel Mystery Oil. I really like MMO as a cleaner.

But my favorite has always been Hoppes. Oil, grease, solvent, I could be happy with Hoppes exclusively.

Lately I have been using EEZOX. I like to wipe my firearms down with it for storage. Tests and reviews, plus personal use, have convinced me it is a superior protectant.

I would use 3 in 1 over wd40 any day of the week. WD40 has really gone downhill it seems since the formula has been changed.
3-1 has always been a superior rust breaker.

I got a two pack of Rem cleaner and Rem lube on Amazon for a good price.

Ballistol is also a good product, and there are many who swear by Hoppes #9 products. I just haven’t gotten around to trying Hoppes yet.

Hoppes #9 is where the song "love potion number 9" came from. LOL
