I have a 22 charger w/ four BX-25 and one BX-15 mags. Was experiencing stovepipes and jams so I decided to start upgrading. Added in a BX trigger, KIDD bolt, guide rod and mag plunger. Fully cleaned everything including all the mags.

Shooting mini mags and blazers .. Took it out twice and both times the first few rounds on every mag the rounds eject 100% of the time but the bolt would just skim the top of the next one and not feed it. Each time I pull the bolt back manually it feeds the next round fine. If I loaded the 25's with only 15 rounds they shot 100% without any issue. Not sure where to go from here?

All 5 mags have some play in the followers and I've seen the fix to put an empty case in but mine aren't wide enough.

A bit late in the response and the OP hasn’t been back in a while, but here goes.

The BX25 magazines are simply problematic, some work in some receivers, some don’t. I prefer the BX-15s myself. I haven’t tried it but many report that the empty case trick works in the BX-25s, why can’t you try that? Too, resting or even toughing the long magazines can cause feeding issues.

What spring do you have on the bolt handle? Kidd supplies three different weights and the heavy one may not work with the cartridges you are using, oarticularly the Blazers.

What lube are you using? Inadequate lube or too much lube can contribute to short cycling which can cause FTFs. Many of us prefer Hornady OneShot cleaner and lube - not the case lube!
