I've lusted after a charger since they were first introduced in 2007. Why I don't know but my experience with 10/22 over the years, this one had to be to good to miss.

I dropped by one of my local gun shops and a salesman just happened to be showing off a Charger to someone that was clearly NOT interested. I mentioned something to the Owner and he helped me out with a deal. Since bringing it home its been fully stripped, polished where it needed polishing, lube where it needed lube and I added a MagPul rail mount sling mount, a Magpul MS3 sling ( you can find these for ~$30 if you look ) and an UTG red/green dot scope. The MS3 let's the Charger hang just right for walking or 4-wheeling. With 7+ac I can roam around and shoot to my hearts content

Almost too much fun. I need to finish sighting it in tomorrow and then let the fun begin!!!!!

When I first saw the Charger, I was asking myself, "Why?" I just didn't understand why Ruger would introduce it. Then I got a great deal on one, and found it to be one of the most fun guns I've ever had. Just one problem...a guy can sure go through alot of ammo in a short time having so much fun...;)

Bought one a few years ago just 'cause it was there. My brother had ordered it in for the heck of it, I opened it upon delivery and figured, "why not". Paid his dealer cost. Have basically just had it sitting there since. Once the pending 10/22 projects are finished, I believe it'll get a new barrel and of course the trigger will get worked on. Undecided on optics but plenty of time for that decision.

Undecided on optics...
You'll love a red dot on your Charger. The one shown on mine is a S & W Performance Optics red dot that I pulled from another gun. If I was to buy new, I'd probably go for one of the new mini red dots on the market, like Bushnell's TRS-25.

Is that optic on yours real or fake, like the magazine :)
Huh? I have to admit, putting a S & W logo item atop a Ruger firearm seems like a disaster waiting to happen, but the two have learned to get along...Oh, and look carefully at the mag in my photo above. The shadow from the left leg of the bipod aligns almost perfectly with the right leg of the bipod. It gives a weird impression, as if the mag wraps around to the right side of both legs. Look closely...You'll see what I mean...;)
