I have been interested in the .327 Federal, since it was first introduced. Though I have never owned one. While searching for a Blackhawk in .327, I came across a .30 Carbine Old Model, unmolested. This is an awesome cartridge, but being rimless it is inferior to the .327, for revolver use. I recently came across a New Model Blackhawk in .30 Carbine and have been thinking about having the cylinder cut for recessed rim to chamber .327 Fed, with the brass tapered to load a .309 PC cast bullet, instead of the .312. A nobody know of something similar?
