Jim (Phideaux) has 'needed' a BFR ever since I've known him. I don't remember exactly but I think it's a 45-70 he hankers after.

He needs to get one... Mine is in 50-90 Sharps and it flat gets after it loaded with smokeless powder. I want to get a bull Buffalo with it...

    I will stick with 45-70.

    Done the research,
There's not enough advantage of the 50-90 or the 50 120 to get the dies to reload ,

I am always on the hunt ....for a BFR in 45-70, to go with my 45-70 rifle.

I lose sleep over that one.

Jim is still hunting buffalo and trying to do it from a moving train like they used to when over 30 million roamed our country.
He has the guns but the only buffalo he can find are in Yellowstone National Park and they kind of have a rule about shooting those critters. Sorry Jim

Remember when you were a kid...(I know its hard for some).

WE played Army or Cowboys/Indians, pretended to shoot our stick guns,:)

Now I'm growed up, and I play ,and pretend to shoot Mastadon or Buffalo with a real gun,

    Same kid....just old.:yahoo:

When we were kids we used to have dirt clod fights. The idea was to throw a dirt clod as close as you could towards your adversary and not hit him. Sure enough we would screw up and some kid would get hit and go home crying. I hated playing cowboys and indians cuz of my skin color I always had to be the indian and the indians NEVER won! Now years later I see I was wrong. They own more casinos than anyone and they always take the cowboys money away.

What smokless powder are you burning in the 50/90? It will work best loaded with 90 grains of 2F BP!
