I had dinner with a bunch of old friends last Friday night. One old guy told me that he and Merle were childhood friends from the Bakersfield Area, and kept in contact until he died. He told me some very interesting stories about Merle. Said he was a great street fighter and loved scrapping with anyone and everyone.
