Figured I'd show off my modified 10/22 a little bit. :)

About the only things on this rifle that still bear the Ruger name are the bolt, receiver, firing pin, and a few pins and springs. As for the rest:

Fajen Silhouette stock
Clark Custom trigger group
Buffer Technologies recoil buffer
Tactical Solutions mag release and scope rail
Tactical Innovations bolt handle
Volquartsen auto bolt release
Green Mountain barrel
Primary Arms 3-9x40 scope.

This was a work in progress for about 4 years, but I kinda think now it's done. And I'm very happy with it.

Nice looking gun and probably a tack driver. Mine doesn't look like the original 10-22 either but is a great gun to own and is one great squirrel gittin machine. I didn't think I had a assault weapon but according to Obama I guess I do.

Beautiful setup you have there.

How's the Clark Custom compare to the Timney? I'm planning a somewhat similar build and I've been trying to decide on a Trigger.

You know, I've never used a Timney trigger, although I've heard very good things about them. I ended up using the Clark Custom trigger because money was tight at the time and I got a really good deal on it. :) And as it turns out I'm really satisfied with it.

Thanks, everyone, for all the comments! This project was definitely 4 years well spent, putting it together basically a piece at a time. That's one of the great things about these rifles - you can just tweak and tweak until you get exactly what you're looking for. And yes, it's a tack-driving machine. When it comes to accuracy, the weakest link in that chain is definitely me. :)

Yeah, is that stupid, or what?

I really like that stock! Looks like you can get a good cheek weld. I may look into that as a target stock for my KIDD trigger/receiver group I currently have in a T-22 chassy.

It's a great stock. I highly recommend it. While mine is the "standard," non-adjustable version, there's also a "special edition" version that is adjustable to fit the shooter. Also, be aware, looks like Fajen is no longer manufacturing these, although if you google "Fajen Legacy" you can find some places that still have them for sale.

Sinner. ;)

Be careful...once you start, it becomes sort of an addiction. You find yourself saying, "Well, if I just tweak it a little bit more..." :D

Yours has a different look than mine, but it's still a nice-looking gun. I bet it's a shooter, too, which is what really matters.

Who made that barrel you used on it? And if you get a chance, I'd love to see a close-up showing the finish.
