I've got a .30 cal. Blackhawk revolver that has a dia. of . 308. Can it do .309 bullets as I've bought some Hornady XTP 95 or so gain of them? Thanks.

I know that the Hornady loading manual has the 90gr .309" XTP listed in the 30 M1 Carbine section, so it should work fine.

Thanks a whole lot, I messed up some the bullet is 90 grain. What is the twist rate in my blackhawk, I've seen rates going all over the chart for the cartridge from 1:16 to 1:20, thought that I even saw one for 1:10?

I shoot 311 cast out of mine and the bore measures 309.

As far as I know, the 30 Carbine Blackhawks have all been made with a 1:20 twist.

Thanks, was wanting to shoot lighter bullets rather than the 110 grain and was wondering if the twist would affect accuracy. Again thanks for the info.
