Hi,
New to the forum. I have a 5 digit no prefix beginning with 22xxx Super Blackhawk that does not have the Eagle on the barrel but has INC. it is unfired in the Black and Red box. It does not have the paperwork but does have the onion skin or wax paper wrapping. The bluing is a high gloss. I am looking for any information I can get on the gun.
Thank you and I am enjoying the forum

Welcome to RT. I moved your post to new member introduction thread.
Pictures of gun would be appreciated and might help for someone to give you more information about the gun.

Welcome from Tucson, Az. That is defiantly a fine looking 44mag. Ruger would want you to send it in to be modified to be safe holding six rounds. They send back the removed parts so no collector value is lost. They won't warranty it without the upgrade.

Welcome :tiphat:
Man oh Man. That's one good looking gun!
Sorry, I don't have any idea what it's worth but it's got to be a lot more than the ones they're making now.

You might be able to get some info from the Ruger Collectors' Association.
I called them one time about a rifle, but that was before everything was done on the innerweb......

3screw

Can someone help me with a value on this 3 screw Super Blackhawk.
It is a 1965 5 digit serial number gun. It left the factory in 1965.
The cylinder has not been turned an it has not been fired other than
the factory. It has the box but no paperwork. It is in beautiful condition.
The finish appears to be high polish. Any info is greatly appreciated.

Bought mine about 6 years ago, unfired, mfg 1980, with box and manuals, for $385 out the door.

The gun's $value is determined by the marketplace. The lack of a dragline helps that $value, but that beautiful high gloss was probably not there when it left the factory.

I can only suggest that you offer it for sale at twice what you think is reasonable, and see what happens.

And thanks for showing it to us; it is awesome.

Welcome to the forum

I would try Gunbroker to get an idea what it is worth but it;s only worth what someone is willing to pay. My guess 450-550 dollars.
