22shooter Does anyone belong to or know about the Ruger collectors association?
When calling Ruger Factory for info ,they tell us to call the association.
I would like to talk to a person but always get a recording.
Anyone with better timing know if it's worth the persuit?
RCA and now the ROSC likely aren't going to just be able to give a value. Check GunBroker and look at completed auctions for the exact model. If nothing, join and ask the folks on RugerForum.com. The two collector groups have forums but the folks there focus more on the single actions and rifles.
My previous info was from the RENE which is basically, THE encyclopedia of everything firearms for Ruger and is most always compiled from very reliable information, much of which is acquired directly from employees and distributors.
..I called Ruger customer service Monday pm.to find info on the 10/22tt/s
The only fact I was able to find was the date of production and that it was
Regular production rifle. They were not aloud to tell production amount.
He was a nice guy, however you can't find out anything you want to know.
This is so called Customer Service.
I looked at a S&w model 57 6" brl . This is a 41 Mag. N serial , production 1981
Era. Original box has model and serial and caliber correctly. However the
barrel has 44 magnum stamped on the barrel. After checking barrel and
cylinder it is 44 caliber.
Bluing color is perfect cylinder has been fired only two cylinder holes from
factory. S$W will tell you nothing. Historical soc. will tell you how it left the
Factory for 75.00 bucks. The box label and numbers on gun tell me how it
Left the factory. Any one have any ideas on this and what this old gun
would be worth as a one of a very few. Has shipping box blue box with papers
and lined wooden box.
