I bought a used New Vaquero 45 lc, stainless steel ,4.62 barrell, it came with white plastic grips no ruger logo on the grips, Was this the factory grip or a after market ?,if not factory what did it come with from the factory ? sn 511-133xx:duck:

Any Ruger made recently (in the last 20 years or more) would come with grips that have the Ruger Eagle/hawk on them (with the exception of special editions like the SASS models).

What you probably have are aftermarket Eagle, Hogue, Ajax or Altamont grips.

Take the grip panels off and check to see if a name is stamped on the inside.

grip

nothing on the grips, it looks like the one on hogue web sight, so in 2011 would it have came with the black plastic or the wood grip?:rolleyes:

There are a lot of real nice replacement grips for Ruger six guns. They went through a phase, in my opinion, where the wood on their grips was awful. That sent us all to the after market for nice wood or bone grips. I have noticed that many of the new Rugers, the Shopkeeper, and the new 327 six gun, have stunning grips on them. I would keep the original if they are that nice.
