Always been a huge fan of the St 1911, like the fact that it comes in 9 so you can get some more rounds in the magazine. Doesn't beat the brute strength of the. 45ACP Though. Still a very nice looking firearm
I truly believe that this is one of the finest 1911 9mm's that are on the market. Yes it doesn't "POP" like a .45 but it is very comfortable to hold on to and to practice doing "double taps". The action is very smooth and it will eat about any round that you put into it. The only problem I have is that it has a 9 round magazine and the spring in the mag is hard, and I mean hard. I am progressive loading my 2 mags starting with 5 rounds and graduating up to the 9 rounds. Trigger pull is short travel and reset is short also. I was going to post my range report this year but I haven't shot in 3 weeks and I couldn't hit the inside of a silo this week if it even had no doors. It sure wasn't the guns fault and I had 2 of them with me: the 9mm and .45. I am back to the Ray Charles school of shooting.....man!
