Hey folks.

I'm in a position to get someone to do a custom leather version of the TD's backpack. I guess what I'm looking for here is any suggestions you might have regarding improvements to it. Any issues you've had with yours.

Likes:
1. I definitely like the compactness of the total package.
2. Pockets on the front allow for packing of lots of BX-25s, Butler Creek's, etc.

Dislikes:
1. The compactness doesn't allow for a scope to be mounted full-time to the rear half if its cased. At least not any scopes I've laid hands on.

Any input would be welcome. More than happy to show you the results when I get them.

You're certainly right about a scoped TD not fitting the original pocket. That would be the one improvement I'd definitely include.

If you were working with nylon instead of leather, I'd suggest ditching the interior pockets altogether and lining the inside, both sides, with PALS webbing so you could strap in various modular components. The interior pockets don't have padding now, so you could also have a central pad that separates the two sides.
