Hi. I'm considering purchasing a 10/22, but would like to have the option to shoot subsonic ammo. Have you had luck cycling subsonic, and if so which ammo? I have a Winchester model 190 and it will not cycle Winchester 42 grain subsonic 22LRs. Thanks!
Greetings everyone, I'm a noob to these fora, but a long time shooter.
I acquired a very lightly used 10/22 with a new-in-bubblepack Bushnell rimfire scope. Ordered a Monstrum see-through ring kit for the mount, and just now finished setting it up. When I finished, I pulled on the charge...
I came across a new in the box old stock Ruger 10 /22 50th Anniversary Edition 1964 -2014 only 25,000 Produced at a gun shop. MSRP lists for $375.00 I took this home for $330.00 out the door .
To commemorate the 10/22's 50th birthday, Ruger has announced the Ruger Collector's Series 10/22...
Help - some advise please.
I brought a new 10/22 stainlness this month.

Best way to post after being gone awhile is with a new Ruger. This is my 4th Ruger firearm and I still own 3(sold LC9 because of the trigger in favor of a Glock 43). This is the 10/22 standard I purchased the other day at academy for 200 bones. I also picked up a few bulk packs of federal .22...

I presently have a 4" SP-101 in .357 on...
Old guy here; bought my first Ruger in 1967 and have owned numerous different models through the years. My current interests are building and shooting custom 10/22s. My next Ruger will likely be a 22/45 Lite Talo when I can find one! Hope to be a regular contributor to the forums.
I am a professional gunsmith and the proud owner of a Security-Six, which has been with me for over 35 years, and a much more recent 10/22 which I've tricked out a bit.
I look forward to visiting this forum to learn what I can and hopefully add some meaningful content of my own.
Figured I'd show off my modified 10/22 a little bit. :)
About the only things on this rifle that still bear the Ruger name are the bolt, receiver, firing pin, and a few pins and springs. As for the rest:
