AP, what do you mean "...once I figured out the trigger."?
I've shot my buddy's Ruger 57 and had no problem with the trigger.
That 57 is an excellent pistol and a perfect companion to my PS90. I would be willing to bet that the Ruger 57 is actually more reliable than the FN Five seveN pistol. It's certainly more ergonomic.
The poor Five seveN ergonomics surprises me given how very ergonomic the P90/PS90 is.
UPDATE:
In this Brave New World of COVID 19 and panic gun and ammo buying will we even see any Ruger 57 pistols for sale?
Is Ruger still manufacturing or have they shut down B/C they were labelled "non-essential"?
UPDATE:
I've since bought a RUGER 57 in late November. Before I took delivery I'd already got a 3rd magazine and a Kydex OWB holster for it from The Ruger Store.
Then I had The Vest Guy make an enclosed double mag pouch from Multi-Cam Cordura canvas with plastic QR buckles.
Finally I got a HOLOSUN 509T circle/dot red dot sight for it. Zombies BEWARE! With that pistol, 60 rounds and my PS90 with 250 rounds I'll put those walking dead out of their misery. (Gotta quit watching Walking Dead!)
I don't believe the CEO from Ruger is a member here. Maybe you should whine to him about your plight at ShopRuger.com. 10 months of crying here and he hasn't answered yet.
Bought one of the first ones. Mine is in the recall numbers in fact. But the safety seems fine. Can also say I'm one of the first to make mine into a nice pdw. (Even better for those pesky zombies lol). Finally built her up and figured I'd share her here on a few post to let folks know how to get one also. Need to buy extended controls for it tho like the mag release etc. Have the red tandemkross trigger to put in tonight maybe tho. But thought I'd stop and share it some to other 57 guys. Most never knew the 57 is modular. The fcu is the serialized part and can drop into conversions like this one I made. So now it's basically a MP7 that fires 5.7mm instead. It's gonna be my new car gun when finalized. The guy making these may not make them long so I'd get one while ya can. It's called the CSM MP-57. It's pretty dam sick and feather light.. and so tiny.. so much so I had to buy a tiny range bag for it lol. Here's some photos and I posted a couple short home made videos on YouTube also. Search ruger mp 57 conversion and you should see it and have a better idea on it. Enjoy folks
