I've been visiting here off and on, but mostly OFF. There seems to be no interest involved here concerning .22 rimfire firearms let alone Ruger products.
Everybody needs to go to "Rimfire World Community.com" and see if at least some activity can be enjoyed. This place is deader than a popcorn fart.

I don't know who owns this forum now, but there is no leadership here to get it going , nothing exciting.
Those were the good old days.
I never went to the other Ruger forum.

But I did help start another forum .
It's a Homesteading forum with a good gun section .
Lots of people talking A to Z.
It's my hangout.
Even some of the old members from here are there.
I don't know what happened to Tommy or Buster.

Been lot water under the bridge last 3 years.

Hey Pancho, hope your doing well,
I miss our talks over the years. Are you still stealing guns at shows?;)

@phideaux, I agree that being banned is the same thing as being kicked out provided that the ban is permanent not temporary. You indicate that you stop in at the forum periodically to chat with old friends. That leads me to believe that you were not banned permanently, so technically you would not have been kicked out (in my way of thinking about the word ban).

I am not trying to create controversy. I come from the “words matter” school. So I seek clarification when I see a misalignment of terms.

I notice since I started visiting gun forums they most always have a click going on, meaning a group that gang up on people and their friendly co-conspirator moderators to ban them.

Several forums were bought out a few years back and cleared out of the know it all's and instigators along with moderators and perhaps some ruffled feathers developed among those who truly believed they had any legitimacy.

None of us own these forums and the ones I have been booted off of are all the old style click and not missed at all.

This is the best gun forum I have ever been on, cause none of you people who think you started something or created something can kick us off.

In my way of thinking some are upset thy got banned from banning people, in other words demoted to regular forum member.

Oh well as they say ..:D

This is hard for me , to ask this, after all the years I put in here.

But, I ask that you please remove me as a member.

The truth will never come out.

LT knows we were banned , why we were all banned from every Carbon Media sight.

But he will never admit it.

So , I ask you LT to remove my membership.

Jim,

This was the first forum I joined. I made some good cyber friends here and it was a lot fun till whatever it was that happened, happened.
You guys kept it family friendly, peaceful and fun. Thank you for that.

After that a few new members came in that have no desire to get along with others. Name calling, insulting other members and foul language were allowed to go unchecked.
When good people stop in and see that stuff they'll leave never to return and of course have no desire to become members here.
IMO that is why this forum is now a ghost town.

I miss you, all of the old crew, the other members now long gone, the joy of sharing information and the good natured joking and poking that we all got in on.

Godspeed to you and yours Jim. I wish you all the best and I hope you see this before you are... "In The Army Now".

Well, in the past, I can remember at least one moderator who became more than power mad over the fact that he was a moderator. Fat, bearded fella, had an avatar of some mutt licking a window.
Despite what he claimed the reason was for banning myself and others, he often did NOT follow the actual rules. He more like stretched the rules to suit his dislike for someone's post, or he just couldn't understand that sometimes folks get involved with "spirited" discussion, without any name calling involved, and he should have left well enough alone.
No, no forum needs moderators like that who get all puffed up over themselves because they have a tiny pinch of authority and can drop the "banned bomb" when ever they have gas pains.

LOL! This is funny.
Maybe, the dude has sugar in his tank and was hurt by someone.
You are right SWG, this forum was pretty good at one time. I hope it picks up. I LOVE my Rugers and like to involve myself with other Ruger fans. I learn a lot and it is good to share and past the time with a few good laughs when the Ruger brothers go at it with their differences.
